China’s Sojo Begins Construction on 2.5 Billion Yuan New Energy Plant in Hubei

Beijing Sojo Electric Co., Ltd. (300444.SHH), China’s supplier of transmission and distribution equipment, new energy services and smart manufacturing, has begun construction on its new energy factory in Huanggang, Hubei Province, China.

The project has a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan (USD 352 million), with fixed assets investment of 1.8 billion yuan (USD 254 million), and will be divided into two phases: the intelligent energy high-end equipment R&D manufacturing base and a 200MW wind energy project. The former has a total investment of 1 billion yuan (USD 141 million), covering an area of 100 Mu (6.7 Hectare), and will build a photovoltaic combiner boxes, photovoltaic inverter boosters, special box transformers for electric vehicle charging and swapping stations, energy storage container systems, and operate as an assembly and testing center for electric vehicle charging and swapping piles. The latter covers an area of approximately 30 Mu (2 Hectare) and will build a wind power generation plant.
