China’s Pret Plans To Build 6GWh Energy Storage Battery Factory in Zhuhai

Shanghai Pret Composites Co., Ltd. (002324.SZ) plans to invest 1 billion yuan (USD 141 million) in Zhuhai, Guangdong to build a 6GWh energy storage battery project with a total area of approximately 129 Mu (8.6 Hectare).

The company stated that it currently has a production capacity of 3GWh for ternary cylindrical batteries, 1GWh for prismatic lithium iron batteries, and is currently constructing a production capacity of 7.3GWh for prismatic batteries. The company also has a production capacity of 18GWh for batteries to be built in Liuyang Phase I and the Zhuhai factory, with a planned production capacity of 18GWh for batteries in Liuyang Phase II and III.
