Huachuang Has Launched a Project To Produce 100,000 Tons of Copper Foil Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries Each Year

Anhui Huachuang New Material Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Huayou Holding Group Co., Ltd., has begun construction on a high-performance lithium-ion battery copper foil material project with a production capacity of 100,000 tons in Suining, Sichuan. This is the first lithium-ion battery copper foil project to be launched in Suining.

The total investment for the project is 9 billion yuan ($1.27 billion), which will be built in two phases. The first phase, which involves an investment of 2.2 billion yuan ($0.31 billion) and a production capacity of 25,000 tons, is expected to go into trial production in April of next year. The second phase, with an investment of approximately 6.8 billion yuan ($0.96 billion) and a production capacity of 75,000 tons, is expected to be launched and planned construction started next year. Once fully built and operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion).
